Becker was an American situation comedy that originally aired on CBS from 1998 to 2004. It is set in The Bronx, a borough of New York City, which starred by Ted Danson as the title character Dr. Becker, a talented doctor that operates a small clinic along with his assistant Margaret Wyborn and Linda. Dr. Beaker has this complex characters that is easily irritated by a situation like a flickering street lamp, noisy neighbors, the couple having very loud sex just above his apartment, or his countless failed attempts to quit smoking. As a result of his outspoken nature, Becker is inaccessible to most people that do not know him. His patients and friends are nonetheless loyal, because Becker portrays a kind-hearted side that shows that, despite his cantankerous personality, he really does care about them. The show tackled more serious issues as well, such as race, homosexuality, AIDS, Cerebral AVM, the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and political correctness.

Ted Danson (Cheers) starred as Dr. John Becker, a dedicated and talented physician with a gruff exterior. Unfortunately, his interior wasn't all that warm and fuzzy either. While he offended those around who try to get close to him, he was extremely dedicated to his medical practice in the Bronx where he always went the extra mile to help those in need.

Becker is a famous sitcom which aired on CBS in 1998 and continued till 2004. Paramount Network Television was producer of this American television sitcom. Paramount also produced Cheers previously for NBC in which Danson also starred. The story of Becker is based in New York City. The main and title character is John Becker, played by Ted Danson. Becker is a doctor of small practice and is not happy with anyone including his friends, co workers, and patients. But due to his caring nature, his friends and patients are always loyal to him.

John Becker (Played by Ted Danson):

Becker is a graduate from Harvard Medical School. He runs his medical practice in neighborhood. He is short tempered about many things that happen around him, like neighbors who make noise, any couple doing loud sex in any neighboring apartment, faulty street lights. He is also unable to quit smoking which he desire to. He is superstitious as well and believes that "All midgets are bad luck, whenever I see one, something bad happens to me". His marital life has been uneven too with two marriages and divorces. He is in hate about political correctness and believes in atheism, and is political liberal.

Many a times, he is kind and becomes very careful about his patients. He works in run down Bronx neighborhood because he believes the place needs him. Many patients, who cannot afford fees, occasionally give him gifts like basketball tickets.

Margaret Wyborn (Played by Hattie Winston):

She is nurse and office manager with Becker. She is well behaving in tolerating Becker, unlike all other. She feels like a mother to him. Her husband Lewis, who does not appear on show, is supposed to hate Becker. Margaret has a passion of becoming a singer, but she became a nurse. She is a religious Christian and a Baptist and loves to quote things from Bible. She is always reasonable in affairs, and has liberal views.
