My Wife and Kids is an American sitcom which ran on ABC from March 28, 2001, until May 17, 2005, starring Damon Wayans and Tisha Campbell-Martin, produced by Touchstone Television. It featured the character of Michael Kyle, a loving husband and modern-day patriarch who rules his household with a unique and distinct parenting style. As he teaches his three children some of life's lessons, he does so with his own brand of wisdom, discipline and humor.

The series is premised on a self-made entrepreneur, Michael Kyle (Damon Wayans) bringing up his family in the suburbs of Stamford, Connecticut. His family consists of the mother & wife of the family Janet 'Jay' Kyle (Tisha Campbell-Martin), and three children: Michael 'Junior' Kyle (George O. Gore II), Claire Kyle (Jazz Raycole, later Jennifer Freeman), and young Kady Kyle (Parker McKenna Posey).

Michael owns a small trucking & moving company with Jay beginning the series as a stockbroker. She later realizes she misses her kids and becomes a house wife; in the later series, she attempts to finish college. Other recurring characters add to the cast in later seasons.

The show was created by Don Reo and Damon Wayans. Reruns air in the U.S. on various local stations and in the UK on Trouble and Virgin 1. The series will begin airing in high definition on ABC Family in September of 2008. The series also airs in Australia, Canada, Europe, Brazil, South Africa,Poland Kenya, Tanzania, India, Pakistan,Bangladesh, The United Arab Emirates, Qatar and New Zealand.

In the season five finale, "The V Story", it was revealed that Jay was apparently pregnant. The cliffhanger was answered by ABC that if they had picked up the series for another year, the pregnancy test results would have been wrong and Jay would not have had the baby.

ABC television broadcasted a sitcom on 28th of the March 2001 named My Wife and Kids. The series was broadcasted for four years and got to an end on 17th of the May 2005. Tisha Campbell Martin and Damon Wayans were the main characters in the series. Touchstone Television produced My Wife and Kids. The strongest character of the series is Michael Kyle (Damon Wayans) who is a loving husband. He rules his house having a unique viewpoint and he teaches his three children few of interesting stories of his life.

Michael Kyle is a merchant and he is also owner of a trucking company. Michael married Janet Kyle (Campbell Martin). She was basically a housewife but he also performed in series as worker but once again becomes a housewife when she was fired in the second episode of second season. The couple has three kids, Michael Kyle Jr. (also called as Junior, he is not an intelligent boy and is eldest son of the couple), Claire Kyle (the eldest daughter of Michael and Jay and middle child) and Kady Kyle, the youngest child and the most intelligent character of the show.

After few episodes the series started to see a change in tone and this change was particularly with the characters. In 4th and 5th seasons Michael became involved in outlandish situations having often seeking advice from Franklin Mumford who was the child prodigy boyfriend of his youngest daughter Kady. Junior went from being a mere underachiever to being depicted as a total imbecile though with some savant like characteristics he showed extremely rare scenes of intelligence and also he was talented in drawing).

Junior was often exhibits very interesting sense of humor and occasionally does impressions of famous people such as Bill Cosby and Don King. He commonly teaches his kids valuable lessons and these valuable lessons are the moments of his life to which he calls Michael Kyle Signature Moments. He starts each story when one of his child have done something wrong, as when her daughter drives the car without permission or when Junior smoked marijuana.
