An excellent American police drama that was presented on the FOX television network from 1994 to 1998 was publicly known as "New York Undercover". This series was starred by Malik Yoba as Detective J.C. Williams and Michael DeLorenzo as Detective Eddie Torres which were two undercover detectives in New York City and there job was to investigate various crimes and gang-related cases in the New York city. Other names in cast were Patti D'Arbanville-Quinn as their boss, while Lt. Virginia Cooper, and Lauren Vélez, who joined the cast in the second season as Nina Moreno as fellow detective and love interest to Torres.

With solving each case of a week which was produced by Dick Wolf it also presents the private life of the characters. Just like Det. Williams struggled to raise his young son, Gregory, while Torres was shown to be fighting family and some other related problems like having to cope with his father's drug addiction and HIV-positive status and his childhood friend turned gang leader.
When the third season began, a change was made by a new detective named Tommy McNamara played by Jonathan LaPaglia and was introduced as a main character. Another change in this season was that in May 1997, Torres and Moreno were married. And the sad scene in this episode was that Torres and McNamara were both killed by a gang of bank robbers.
Fourth was the final season of New York Undercover which returned with a new cast for in January 1998. The two detectives were Williams and Moreno as a new unit, resulting in a drop of D’Arbanville-Quinn from the cast. While joining detectives were Lt. Malcolm Barker performed by Tommy Ford, Det. Nell Delaney played by Marisa Ryan, and Det. Alec Stone played by Josh Hopkins. The new unit with its great success captured the last bank robbers who were responsible for the deaths of Torres and McNamara.
